Friday, May 20th, Cave-to-Table Dinner

A cave to table dinner on Friday evening will kick off the weekend with small dishes that each feature a cheese from a participating creamery.  Ingredients in the dishes will be curated from local farmers and businesses. Guests are able to mingle with the local cheesemakers, chefs, farmers, bakers, distillers, and winery owners.

“Friday will be a special night.  Guests will enjoy a wonderful meal with the backdrop of the property’s 1871 stone farmhouse and romantic country views;  a culmination hearkening back to a time when skilled makers and artisans were the cultural norm.” 

 
 
 

Saturday, May 21st, Artisan Cheese Festival

Saturday morning and into the evening all the cheesemakers will be sampling their cheese and pairing a cheese of their choice with a McKelvey Vineyards’ wine.  Festival participants will be able to taste and experience about fifty varieties of Missouri handcrafted cheese. Vote for your favorite and buy straight from the cheesemakers to take some home!

From 10am-3pm on Saturday local farmers and other cheese oriented vendors will sell their goods.  Local distilleries and breweries will arrive for an evening Cheese and Spirits Crawl from 5p-9p, giving guests the chance to taste local liquor and cheese pairings.
