Nearly 150 years ago, a 60 acre farm in New Haven, Missouri, produced some of the best wines in the region. Once prohibition was enacted, the winery closed and vineyards were removed. In 2016, owner Patricia McKelvey began the process of restoring the property to its grandeur. The old farm house has been meticulously restored and the vineyards are being replanted. The property is now open to the public, with an all-season pavilion, event center and a lodging house for guests.
1800s FARM HOUSE
The old farm house, appropriately named Steeple View Manor because of its view of the neighboring church steeple, is a beautiful country retreat. The house contains four full bedrooms and comfortably sleeps 8. While the farmhouse boasts the best in country charm, during the restoration process, the house was updated with large screen TVs, satellite TV, Wifi and a Sonos® sound system. The expansive patio features comfortable furniture, a wood burring pizza oven and fireplace. Inside, there is a fully operational kitchen with an adjoining summer kitchen. The house is available to rent throughout the year.
